Dear Members,
It's a great honour and privilege to be Captain of Solihull Grange Golf Society for 2025.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Neil Whitcombe for his excellent captaincy last year. Neil's dedication and leadership ensured another fantastic year for the society, and his efforts are greatly appreciated.
I'm also pleased to introduce my Vice Captain for this year, Paul Rollinson. Paul’s positive attitude, sportsmanship, and commitment to the society make him the perfect choice. I have no doubt that Paul will be an invaluable support throughout the year, and I look forward to working alongside him.
Welcome to all our new members from last year who have re-joined for this year, and hello again to all the familiar faces. One thing that makes SGGS so special is our shared passion for golf and the camaraderie we enjoy both on and off the course. Let's continue to play in the true spirit of the game, respecting the venues we visit and, most importantly, having fun along the way.
I also look forward to welcoming back members who have taken a break from the society. I know many of them still keep an eye on the WhatsApp group, and I am sure we would all be delighted to see them back as guests or to re-join when they’re ready to do so.
Additionally, I would like to acknowledge two long-term members, Baz Bridge and Paul Rollings, who have not re-joined this year. Their participation and contribution to the society over the years have been greatly valued, and they will always remain part of the SGGS family.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the committee for their ongoing hard work and dedication. Their efforts behind the scenes are what keep SGGS thriving, and I am truly grateful for their commitment.
Here's to a fantastic year of golf, good company, and memorable moments. Best of luck to everyone for the season ahead!
Best regards,
Sabby Sohal
